know your zone

The Program

Often associated with Firewise, this program encourages residents in wildfire-prone areas to understand their evacuation zone.

This helps our community prepare for potential wildfires by knowing where to go and when to evacuate based on official notifications.

Evacuation Zone Awareness

By providing residents with the specific zone they belong to, often through maps and online tools, this knowledge allows us to react quickly and efficiently when evacuation orders are issued.

Find Your Zone

CAL FIRE Partnership

CAL FIRE  supports and promotes FIrewise programs in California, providing resources and guidance for communities to become Firewise-recognized.

While CAL FIRE emphasizes Firewise, the "Know Your Zone" concept is also crucial for effective wildfire preparedness. It ensures residents are informed about evacuation procedures and can respond quickly to potential threats.
